It was in 2005 when the Dakhin opened its doors to a hungry
Glasgow public – giving Scotland its first authentic south
Indian restaurant.
Since then, the Dakhin has build up a great reputation with
diners and critics alike for offering a unique and memorable
dining experience in Glasgow’s Merchant City.
It followed on the heels of its very successful sister
restaurant, the Dhabba, the first north Indian restaurant to
open in Scotland.
The idea behind the Dakhin is simple – using fresh natural ingredients to create the
true taste of south India, where aromatic vegetarian, as well as meat dishes, are revered.
The restaurant doesn’t jut have respect for authentic flavours – customers can always expect a warm reception and an excellent service.
